Human Resources Intern

The Lloyd Group has an immediate opening for an intern interested in Human Resources.  The candidate chosen for this position will not only get paid work experience, but also have exposure to a variety of administrative functions in the human resources discipline including recruiting, on-boarding and off-boarding employees, handbook editing, and interview scheduling.  The intern should be available to work at least 15 hours per week and no more than 30 hours per week on a flexible schedule. This position is open to students and recent graduates. The pay rate is $15 per hour.

The selected individual will provide support to the Human Resources Department by using excellent organizational and computer skills to assist with multiple projects such as:

  • Schedule candidates for phone and in-person interviews, manage calendars and communicate confirmations
  • Conduct Phone Screens
  • Act as main point of contact for candidates, agencies, and hiring managers regarding interview logistics
  • Manage in-house interviews the day of to ensure that interviews stay on track, facilitate pivots when necessary
  • Maintain data integrity in our Applicant Tracking System
  • Coordinate written feedback from interviewers and create candidate summary documents for hiring discussions
  • Schedule  hiring meetings for the Director of Human Resources  to discuss candidate interview feedback
  • Post job descriptions
  • Attend career fairs as a representative of Lloyd
  • Create new hire folders and load all necessary benefits and legal documents 
  • Clean up and reorganize all existing employee files contained in a centralized cloud-based filing system
  • Assist in preparation of employee events
  • Book new hire orientations and organize materials for new hire orientation (paperwork, name tags, desk set-up, etc.)
  • Create forms and templates to streamline current processes
  • Other duties as assigned by the HR team
